Miniature Infrared Source and Sensor
Spectrally matched infra-red source and sensor moulded in a standard 3 mm LED package. Source is a high efficiency GaAs LED. Sensor is a silicon NPN phototransistor. When used as a coupled pair an operating gap of up to 25 mm is attainable. Applications include limit switching, tape end detection, etc.
